The chaplaincy of the Tours Centre Deanery meets about a dozen times during the school year, takes part in diocesan days and offers pilgrimages to young people from 6e to 3e (ages 11 to 15).
The chaplaincy programme helps teenagers, whether baptised or not, to build themselves up and grow humanly and spiritually, accompanying them throughout their four years at collège (lower secondary school).
Baptism, Communion, the profession of faith in 5e and confirmation in 3e are offered to them.
The sessions start in mid-September, on Saturdays from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm, following a set calendar. They begin with the Mass of the day in Saint-Pierre-Ville church, after which the young people meet in groups in the parish rooms at 14 rue René de Prie, next to the church.
The chaplaincy is led by Father Thibault Bruère, Sylvie Cochereau, coordinator, and the team of leaders.
